Scrambling

Enjoy some of Snowdonia's classic scrambles like Cneifion Arete, Crib Goch or Bristly Ridge and learn the skills to 'go it alone'. If you want to get off the beaten track and add a bit more challenge and exhilaration to your next trip to the hills then a scrambling course could be for you.

 

Introduction to Scrambling. 
A guided day out on grade 1 routes for those new to scrambling - ideal for hillwalkers who want to try it out. There are many excellent grade 1 scrambles to choose from

 

Scrambling Skills for Hillwalkers

Learn the essential skills to get you off the paths and tackle some of the more challenging mountain routes. 
Course will include:
Equipment needs
Grades and using a guidebook
Route choice and route finding
Personal movement skills
How to use a rope

The course will be spent learning these skills over some of Snowdonia's great Grade 1 scrambles.

Advanced Scrambling
For experienced scramblers who want to improve and increase their mountaineering skills. Speed up your ropework and scramble more efficiently.

Grade 3 introduction.
Experience some of the most challenging scrambles in Snowdonia. Course will include rope work, use of rock climbing equipment and route finding.
